What is church hopping? It's jumping from church to church in hopes of finding a singles group full of "potentials". (Well, maybe not full, but at least one).We may all have been guilty of this at one time. The danger of church hopping is that we are not honouring God's design for the body of Christ. We are not using our gifts to fill the needs of the church. We are using the church to fill the needs in ourselves. Needs that only God can fill totally.
What should we be doing in church? Praising God, getting involved in church ministries, and creating friendships (whether or not they lead to the alter).
God is a great God, and he can bring someone to church just for you. The important thing is to invest your gifts in a church where you feel that you can grow spiritually. If it makes you feel better, choose a big church :)
If you haven't met any potential mates in church either, then what should you do instead of church hopping?
Clubs??... Bars?? We all know how spirit filled those places can be...(and we're not talking holy spirit filled!)
