You've heard the remarks, and the criticism. That only the desperate, needy and unstable people of world use online dating sites....
But things have changed!
Christian online dating services are a big hit!
It's no longer "Desperate Man seeks Desperate Woman" with all the negative connotations it used to have.
Five years ago, it was embarrassing to tell someone that you placed your profile on a dating site. You prayed your friends wouldn't find out. But that definitely isn't the case today.
Now the dating sites are more than just personal ads, they are entire communities full of Christian people looking to make friends.
People use Christian dating sites and services because they are convenient, in fact they attract Christian singles from every walk of life.
But like in the real world, you have competition... and it's very easy to increase your chances with other singles by avoiding some very common mistakes. (We'll be exploring these in future lessons.)
Also, there is a lot that you have to watch out for. Just because these are "Christian" dating sites, doesn't mean that only Christians are allowed.
There are also numerous safety considerations you need to take into account, not just when you finally decide to meet the person but from the very first communication.
Finally, because of the popularity of these sites, there are many to choose from. We'll be researching and giving our opinion on the various Christian single networks out there.
